Since the opening of North Marion High School in 1979, the Husky Band has led the way for pride in the four consolidating High Schools: Barrackville, Fairview, Mannington, and Monongah. When the doors opened in Rachel, WV, the 139-member band was led by Paul Yoho. Multiple band directors had taken over Mr. Yoho's role, and in 2017, Matthew Morgan took the reins of the Husky Band and has not looked back since. The goal of the band is to provide education and care for the students and entertainment for audience members’ eyes and ears.
